“Web Site Inauguration”
April 1, 2005
| New site! It was about time! I know, I know... my previous one was a disaster. Not just because it was hosted on YaHell/Geocities, but because come on, it had so many broken links you could get lost in there. Not all my fault, though. I kept using Microsoft Word to encode my HTML pages, and as we all know, Microsoft products are the most dangerous thing on planet Earth after G. W. Bush and a teenage boy’s gym shoes left unattended in the closet for a week. But shoes can be washed... and Bush can be washed (away)... but Microsoft? Nossir. Let’s all switch to Linux! But no, that’s not what I did. I’m too lazy for that. Quite simply, I resorted to a software called DreamWeaver, by Macromedia, that I had already been using to design another (off-topic) web-site. I didn’t want it for my spanking stories site because DW’s worst downside is the awful management of text. There is barely even a spell-check feature, and you can’t do nearly anything. So I still write my stories in MS Word, to then use this professional web designer software for HTML encoding. That’s much better, and the results are satisfying. The funniest thing in the world is that, in DreamWeaver, under the menu "Commands" you see an entry "Clean up Word HTML". So it’s well-known that MS makes crappy HTML! Haha! Where was I. That said, I'd like to thank all those who pointed out my previous site’s flaws and suggested fixes, mostly the annoying / vs \ (slash vs backslash) issue, that Word just doesn’t get right. To be more specific, I’d like to thank all those who did so *politely*... not those who think they can issue drumhead justice from the top of who knows what superior knowledge. And you guys know I’m talking about you. Anyway. Enjoy the site, and check back often in this section to read more of my sparse thoughts/ramblings etc. Only, be warned: prolonged exposition to me and my stuff is going to make you: A) write spanking stories yourselves, B) feel a little funny in the head (and other places), and C) like Oreo cookies with peanut butter.
